ALL OUR SERVICES
Although we specialise in Family, Housing and Criminal Law we can help in most problems or disputes - we will always be on your side and will help resolve any issue.
Jenny Morrison and Anne Spowart are the directors of the Firm. We are committed to providing a quality service to our clients regardless of means. We have a franchise with the Legal Aid Agency to offer legal aid in some areas of law. We will carry out a legal aid eligibility assessment during your initial consultation. If a client is not eligible for legal aid we will discuss alternative methods of funding your case at competitive rates, including offering fixed fee services.
I am a solicitor with 33 years of legal experience. I initially worked in Clapham and Stockwell Law Centre and from there went into private practice and set up Cockar Morrison Fowler, an all female law firm in 1997 and this grew and went on to become Morrison Spowart solicitors. I now specialise in Family Law and in particular care proceedings and I am a member of the Law Society Children Panel. I am of Jamaican /Irish heritage and speak fluent French. I have spent time living both in Jamaica and in France. I am passionately dedicated to social justice issues and bringing about social change and have enjoyed my career in the legal professional which has allowed me to contribute to this.
I have worked in the legal profession for over 25 years, always in private practice. For the last 20 years I have specialised in housing, community care and public law. I was a founding partner of Morrison Spowart and am now a director of the firm.
Head of Department
I qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and have worked in criminal defence throughout my career. I trained with a firm in North London but in 2000, I came back to my south-east London roots, and set up the criminal defence department of Morrison Spowart. I am a duty solicitor and a member of the LCCSA (London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association) and the YPA (Youth Practitioners Association). I have worked on some high-profile cases but I am equally dedicated to getting the best results for every client I represent. I feel very strongly that everyone should have equal access to justice. I am very lucky to be able to do a job I love.
